Mythos

The colors, shapes and textures of these Mythos Roses inspired me to paint them.

The blush color on the inside of the white roses was beautiful and I choose to experiment with a warm background and looser brushstrokes on the back roses to push the focal point onto the center flower. Petals and the fleeting nature of flowers are both beautiful and fascinating to me.
